Charkha - Wadali Brothers
I would be highly grateful if someone gives me complete lyrics for this song with the proper translation. I can understand some of it and the initial wordings do have a translation in the video itself but I still need the complete lyrics. A beautiful Punjabi song.

Yes, this is most likely Amritsar/Lahori dialect. Wadali brothers are from Amrtisar. Also, pure Punjabi is much different from what we are used to in Delhi. Perhaps this was your first experience with the “real deal”.
Just wondering, i’m sure there i heard a remix to this…does anyone know where to find it.
P.S I love the orginal one anyways . :)
Charkha..
I only know a few words of Urdu and even less of Punjabi or Hindi…
I love this song too but can’t understand almost all of it..
Does ‘Charkha’ mean ‘wheel’ or ’spin’ or ‘revolve’?
Is it ancient Persian?
Is the word connected to our modern idea of ‘chakra’ (points on the body.. a “cycle” of energy)?
Is the word related to our European word “cart”.. (a thing with wheels or a map..)
I see so many beautiful things in this world but I understand little..
fyi, the songs on itunes.

Interesting. Is this really Punjabi? I thought I heard bits of rajasthani in it…
